What is Leadership? Is Morality a Part of Leadership?
Leadership is not about getting the work done. It is not only about being nice and making others feel good. It is not only about motivating others. It is much more.
Leadership is about delivering exceptional performance, individually and collectively, in an uncertain and complex environment. Both at present and in the future.
Leadership competencies do not have moral values attached to them. Morality is driven by our personal values and beliefs.
Leadership is not unknown. But it is complex, as there are many factors (competencies) at play simultaneously. And unless we understand and learn these competencies well, we may fall short of realising the full potential of leadership.
