Life Skills Development

World Health Organization has defined life skills as, “the abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life“.

To avoid any confusion between leadership skills and life skills, we may think of leadership skills as skills / competencies required to succeed in the workplace, while life skills may be considered as skills that can help us live a happy and successful life.

NICEF, UNESCO and WHO list the the following as the 10 core life skills:
